Step by Step Installation of SharePoint 2013
In the previous lesson , we have installed the database server,Finally it is time to start installing SharePoint.
Note: Make sure that you are connected with internet connection because it may require to download prerequisites software online during installation process.
2. You will be prompted with User Account Control, click on Yes to continueInstallation of SharePoint 2013 Prerequisites
1. Go the directory where do you have your installation files. find out the Prerequisite.exe file and run as Run as Administrator3. In the following Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Products Preparation Tool screen, you will be able to see the complete list of the prerequisites products for installation. Click on Next to continue
4. On the License Terms for software products screen, read the license terms carefully and check the CheckBox that state the accept the license terms and Click on Next to continue
5. In the following screen, the Prerequisite Installer will enable the Application Server Role on your server. And you will be asked to restart the Server. Click on Finish to continue
6. Once, you restarted the Server. The Prerequisite Installer will be automatically resumed and continue the installation process.
7. You prerequisite Installer will configure below mentioned components on your Server.
- Application Server Role, Web Server (IIS) Role
- Windows Identity Foundation (Windows6.1-KB974405-x64.msu)
- Microsoft Sync Framework Runtime v 1.0 SP1 (Synchronization.msi)
- Windows Server App Fabric (WindowsServerAppFabricSetup_x64.exe)
- Microsoft Identity Extensions (MicrosoftIdentityExtensions-64.msi)
- Microsoft Information Protection and Control Client
- Microsoft WCF Data Services 5.0 (WcfDataServices.exe)
- Cumulative Update Package1 for Microsoft App Fabric 1.1 for Windows Server (AppFabric1.1-RTM-KB2671763-x64-ENU.exe)
Congratulation, you have done with installation of the prerequisite for SharePoint 2013.
Installation of SharePoint 2013
1. You need to log in as SharePoint Administrator (SP_Admin) user2. Go to the Directory, there you have your SharePoint 2013 Installation files and run setup.exe file as Run as Administrator
3. you will be prompted with User Account Control Window, Click on Yes to continue
4. In the Enter you product Key screen, you have to enter a valid SharePoint 2013 Server product Key. Click continue
5. The following Read the Microsoft Software License Terms screen has license terms. Kindly read carefully and check the I accept the terms of this agreement Check Box. Click Continue
6. On the Choose a file location page, accept the default settings and click Install Now.
7. The following Installation Progress screen shows Installation progress. It might take little time to complete.
8. Once, Installation is completed, you will get Run Configuration Wizard to complete the installation. you can check the Run the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard now Check Box. If you want to continue with configuration of SharePoint products. Click on Close to continue6. On the Choose a file location page, accept the default settings and click Install Now.
7. The following Installation Progress screen shows Installation progress. It might take little time to complete.
9. On the Welcome to SharePoint Products screen, Click on Next to continue
10. You will be prompted for start or reset the Services during Configuration. Click on Yes to continue
11. On the Connect to a server farm screen, Select the Create a new server farm radio
12. In the next screen, you have to provide set the below mentioned fields to complete the configuration
- Database server
- Database Name
- Username
- Password
13. On the Specify Farm Security Settings screen, you need to provide the password to secure the configuration data.
14. On the following screen, you can setup the port number and the security settings for your site. Click on Next to continue
15. On the Completing the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard screen, Click on Next to complete the configuration

17. Once, configuration completes, you should be able to see the Successful message on the screen. Click on Finish
